Benâ Gül Peker has worked at the Middle East Technical University, School of Foreign Languages, Department of Basic English and Bilkent University MA TEFL Program. She is currently working as professor at Gazi University, Faculty of Education, ELT Department, Ankara, Turkey. She holds an M.A. from Bilkent University and a Ph. D from Aston University in Birmingham, U.K.
Benâ Gül Peker has presented nationally and internationally. She was a plenary speaker at the at the 40th IATEFL Convention, Harrogate 2006, U.K. She has been involved as editor and writer in the writing of the new curriculum and course books for primary ELT grades 4-8. Among her professional interests are teacher empowerment, action research, language teaching methodology, in particular, the use of drama and emotions and personal development. Bena Gül Peker is a certified trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
